I have a CC DS electric. When I accellerate it is quiet but while coasting it sounds like a grinding or whinning noise. Anybody have a hint? The motor is about 4 years old.

Welcome again Will!

A little bit whining is normal when coasting with an electric cart, but, just a little bit!
If it's more of a "clicking" that you hear, it may be the "alignment ring/bumper"

Hi Guys
No it definitely comes from the motor. The whine sounds like scaping but it is not. I took the rear cover off the cart so I could hear it better, then drove it slowly. How hard is it to remove the motor?

Cartfixer had a simple kit consisting of a rubber washer, a spring and a flat washer. It is now quiet.

Who is cartfixer? One of my carts, an 86 CC DS, is making a scraping and grinding noise too. Though it does it on acceleration too. Havent heard of this motor centering kit. I live in central FL too. Is cartfixer local?
