My IQ to Series conversion thread
Ok a little back ground, in August I purchased a 2003 Club Car IQ for a hunting cart, we ran it almost daily then one day my cart just stopped working, so after some reading on here and talking to Tahoe Dawg I decided to do a complete conversion from IQ to Series cart. But then when I start taking everything apart I found that 2 blade connectors were off, but I was already to the point that I had decided to redo the cart. So I saved some money and here we go. I'm trying to get all top self components so I don't need to do this over again.
My cart looked like this when I picked it up last August Tonight is the first night I started to put everything back together. I really want to thank TahoeDawgZ71 for all the help he has given so far. So he is the cart already stripped and waiting on paint So after cleaning & wiping down the places to be painted I sprayed it with some NAPA 7220 etching primer After it all dried I sprayed on some Dupli-Color flat black Far from finished but as I get time to work on the cart I'll be posting photos |

Re: My IQ to Series conversion thread
I got a little more done today after some archery shooting and helping the wife a little I wrapped the steering column and steering wheel cover.
This is the pattern I am going to wrap the cart body with I don't have a steering wheel puller so I wrapped the column on the cart |

Re: My IQ to Series conversion thread
Thanks it's a custom camo called bushwolf marshland, we really are not in any marsh areas but it's a nice dark green camo. Plus I didn't have to pay big bucks to get the rights to print mossy oak or real tree.

Re: My IQ to Series conversion thread
I've gotten everything in except for my front seat covers motor and controller, so as soon as the controller and motor get here I'm going to get back at the conversion.
In the mean time I drilled out the rivits on the windshield, scuffed, primed and painted the windshield frame but when I tried to rivit it back on I cracked the windshield. Does anyone know where I can purchase a piece of 2'×4' tinted 3/16" lexan? I can cut it to shape and get the corners ground I just need the lexan. |

Re: My IQ to Series conversion thread
So all of my parts are here and I finally got some time to work on the re build.
First I installed the wiring harness. Then I installed all of the components and hooked up the harness. Once I get the battery cables made I'll wire tie everything together all nice and neat. [IMG][/IMG] Then I moved off onto the dash, I wired the key switch, light switch, and battery gauge all wired up and installed the new dash. Then I installed the Ausco mechanical disk brakes ( sorry no photos ) now the next thing is to get the wires all measured up and made. |
