I've seen worse. I actually solve this problem for customers over the phone about once or twice a month. Everybody thinks they've found such an awesome deal because their local auto parts stores sell golf car batteries for cheap. Well what they don't realize is that the only batteries they carry are 6 Volts. If this were 1992 we'd have no problem. LOTS of people still believe ALL golf cars are 36 Volts. The worst one was last year. Someone had removed 4 12 Volt batteries from a Precedent and replaced them with 4 6 Volt batteries from O'Reilly Auto Parts. Car didn't run. But they're new...... But they're golf car batteries......

Sportscoupe,

So Is your garage tore up like mine? I found a guy on Ebay who's selling 20" Kenda's A/T tires that will fit your stock 8" rim and you won't need a lift. I've got 8ea being delivered this week for total/shipping included $233, yes 8ea $233.

My garage has golf parts everywhere. haha. Sounds like a good deal on the 20 inch tires. I'll be putting 23's and a 6" lift on these two DS's.

I got 48v battery packs now and both carts do 15 mph on flat ground. Hoping for 18-19 mph with the 23's.

Good to hear you got the batteries exchanged and now have proper speed and probably more torque too!!

Got my 23's on both carts this weekend with 6" lift kits. I was expecting 18-19 mph since it did 14-15 mph on stock tires. I was wrong. I got a disappointing 16 mph. I only gained 2 mph with 23" tires. My battery cables are pretty rough in places. I will be upgrading them all to 4 gauge later this week. Maybe that will help some depending on how much voltage drop they were giving me.
