Unhappy Charger fuse popping

just replaced old batteries with new 8v - GC2's on a 1997 club car DS 48 volt when I plug in charger it max's out at 20+ amps and pops fuse. I've checked all wiring to diagram and all are correct.

I'm new to golf cart maintenance, but am hands on. Can anybody help, I already blew money on batteries and not sure that's the problem.

Default Re: Charger fuse popping

Is it burning out the FUSE or BREAKER? If it keeps tripping the breaker, you more than likely need to repair your charger with a charger repair kit (relay, rectifier, and new breaker). My charger was doing this exact same thing last summer, installed kit, and no problems since.
