How is that different from any other golf cart? The possibility of shorting is there too.

I could have put heat shrink on the bus bars in between the connections but chose to just leave it open. Thanks for the positive comments. Hope this helped the OP with their question.

The chance of a short circuit from an errant wrench is increased exponentially because of all the exposed conductors. Surely even YOU can see that.

Two simple fixes for shorting possibility:

1) never use long tools under the seat

2) tie wrap a sheet of plexiglass over the batteries

Thanks for all the info. I just took off the old cables and replaced them with 2ga cables I made for the battery pack about 4 weeks ago. I need to finish the rest of the cart in 2ga cables.
