Click but not moving
Got a 2000 CC 48 volt, guy said it stated smoking and quit running. Yellow wire on silonoid from controller was little burnt on the end. Replaced silonoid resister and the yellow wire end. Still get a click and no movement.
Battiers good all connections good. Cleaned up f.n.r switch. ???? Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk |

Re: Click but not moving
Solenoid is good ?
Does than mean with the pre-charge resistor removed you have pack voltage to the controller B- to B+ when the solenoid clicks? ... but no go? Trouble may be 1. Bad Battery 2. bad high amp cable 3. bad F&R 4. bad Controller 5. bad motor At least we eliminated the solenoid |

Am I to assume series drive & Curtis control? You can save a lot of time if you put your nose on the controller and sniff - if you smell burnt electronics it's bad otherwise put a voltmeter on B- and M- and press the gas. When the solenoid just clicks you should read 48v as you depress the pedal that voltage should go down near 0v. This test assumes the throttle signal is correct and the controller is powered up. see series motor test attached. |

Re: Click but not moving
Here are some pictures of controller and motor. It has a v- glide. And no burnt smell.

Re: Click but not moving
Put both big cables on the solenoid on the same post and see if it drives. This is a solenoid bypass.

Re: Click but not moving
I think someone needs to come up with a standardized form for "click but doesn't move" threads.
That way we can get all the pertinent information from the start and it doesn't take two pages to get everything needed to make a diagnosis. |
