Default EZGO Stinger RXV Problem

I bought this cart for my kids (and myself) to use at the camp and around the neighborhood.
WE have been through 4 motor brakes in less than 2 years. Is this a common issue? I am thinking abut selling the POS and getting something else more reliable.

Thoughts

First no that's not normal. The brake is just a parking brake. The motor itself slows the cart down.

If brake was put on and to much torque used on the bolts this can ruin a brake. If you push down to far on the brake pedal it will lock the brake up at whatever speed you are going this will ruin a brake also.

If you have went thru four brakes in two years I would say your brake is being abused.

Thanks for that quick reply.

Yes I am sure my kids are abusing the brake. This was not explained to me until yesterday. I bought the wrong kind of cart. I have used a reputable shop to make repairs. so I believe it is the users. They just didn't give the proper information at the time of the sell. I could have easily bought the TXT model sitting next to it.

TXT carts don't like the sudden stops either. They are a little better about it but they can still strip hubs. I would let the kids pay for the next repair.. I'm not sure if an "Emergency Stop" gets logged in the controller but it would be interesting to look at those logs and see..
