1997 ezgo txt radio doesn’t receive signal

Same problem with two different radios, one on battery the other on the voltage reducer, most likely indicates the problem is the RF environment.

Cart wouldn't happen to be in a garage with metal siding would it?

If so, take it outside. Better yet, sit it next to a car or pickup whose radio does work on both AM and FM.

My house, garage and outbuildings are covered with steel siding and radio reception is nearly nonexistent inside them.

Take the radio and hook it up in your truck and see if it works then

If the above two post (#21,22) don't help you determine where the problem is you might as well return the radios and get your money back.

This is what I use, and it works fine. I'm an hour North of most stations I listen to.

I have used that antenna successfully many times.

Can you hook it straight up to a 12v battery and test it that way?

I was just reviewing some of our old topics and I was wondering if a different antenna solved the problem you were having with radios not receiving signal.

Radioman I’m going to wire up the radio with the new antenna today. It has been to cold for me to get outside to do it till today. I’ll let you know.

I installed the new antenna still now luck. I give up now. Thanks for all the suggestions. I’m thinking I’m too far away from where they broadcast from since I don’t live in a city.
