Re: Ds obc bypass
You already said you have a Series system. Quick check is a FNR lever (Seroes) instead of a Fwd/Rev rocker switch (Sepex).

Re: Ds obc bypass
Can't be - Regen 1 had a rocker switch, not lever. If it's a big lever (vs small rocker switch), then it's series.

Re: Ds obc bypass
No problem just a very confused person. Ok it is a series. Has a lever for FNR and no tow run switch. What else do you need to know?

Re: Ds obc bypass
OBC bypass procedure for series car....
Remove main power by disconnecting the main positive and main negative battery terminals. Locate the solenoid. Disconnect the SMALL yellow wire from the solenoid. Make a new wire of the same gauge, 16gauge, and connect it to your solenoid where you removed the yellow wire from. Connect the other end of this new wire to the B- negative post of the controller. The posts on your controller are labeled. This is the post where all the grounds come together. Locate the charger receptacle. Locate the 10 gauge black wire that is bolted to the back of the charger receptacle that runs down into the plastic wire loom. Disconnect this wire. Using a new wire of the same gauge, connect it to this location of the charger receptacle and connect the other end of this wire to the same B- terminal of the controller. That's it. You're done. Note that you can connect both of these new wires to the main negative terminal of the battery pack as well for the same results but I prefer to use the controller terminal since it's not exposed to battery acid and far less prone to corrosion. |
