Angry Which 10 g wire to buy Help!

Stripped orange motor wire (F2) in preparation to install new Alltrax controller and found that all the copper strands are black. The copper strands in the Blue wire (F1) are shiny and bright. Both the blue and orange wires are 10 gauge but the orange wire appears to have more strands that are slightly larger than the blue.

Please tell me what new orange wire to buy. How many strands??

I'm so frustrated! A Google search turns up a zillion batter cable links but can't manage to answer my question about which 10 g wire to use even if I do a verbatim search. Grrrrr....

Most any of the 105°C rated wires will be high strand and high flex. As far as brands I don't really know of a name brand besides Excelene. Hope this helps.

Any automotive 10ga will work fine as long as it's copper and not copper clad aluminum. You can buy at any automotive parts store.

Thank you so much. I took your advice!

The first automotive store I went to had 10g wire by Pico. Not many strands and it just looked a little flimsy. Ended up at O'Reilly's and they had what I needed. It's made by Dorman and is all copper with 19 strands. Still not sure that the 19 strands matters but at least it matches the wire that was on my cart.

They did not have orange so I had to buy yellow. I could not find any orange electrical tape so I put white electrical tape near the ends and colored it orange with a permanent marker. I think that's called redneck creativity.
