How long can you run these things?
I got wind that carts are not built from the factory to just run on and on. More for hole to hole. Does it hurt them to run long times or distances without rest for them?
Another question: Would it be beneficial to put an inlet and outlet vent (opposite sides of the battery compartment) to keep fresh air flowing through? |

Quote:
Running them for prolonged periods, larger wheels, lift kits, seat kits and accessories brings in the need for upgrades like 4 gauge wires, controllers, etc. Longevity all depends on the load, distance and terrain you drive - Thus the birth of the aftermarket accessory business |

Re: How long can you run these things?
I have 4ga wires, stock everything else, with exception of the "freedom chip". The only load I pull is me and my 120# wife or 80# daughter, so it doesn't have a "big" load. We do like to go about 5 miles at a time though.

Re: How long can you run these things?
You should be fine Leave your reverse buzzer hooked up, though. If your controller (PDS) ever goes into thermal overload - it will beep and go into limp mode or even shut down completely until it cools (which is exactly what it was designed to do). If the issue starts and continues, just upgrade to an Alltrax 400 amp programmable

Re: How long can you run these things?
I have used mine duing halloween to go trick or treating thru a major neighborhood and had put about 6 miles on it to get there with no problems with 4 adults and 2 kids. I do have 0ga wires, lift, 20" tires, all else is factory. Mine is also a fleet cart.
