The Medalist came with two different drive systems (Series and DCS), which handle F & R entirely differently ways, so we must know which drive system to troubleshoot.
IIRC, the DCS didn't come out until 1995, so a 1994 Medalist would probably be a series drive, but with EZGO, most anything is possible.

If it is a series drive and the wiring is correct, the problem is in the F/R switch high current contacts.

Fix it or replace it and the cart will most likely run the way it should.

As I said, the common way to get a Marathon to run 1/2 power in forward instead of reverse is to incorrectly connect the 1/2 power potentiometer wires.

Just for grins pull the two wires coming from the potentiometer to the F&R micro switch off. Zip tie or tape them out of the way, make sure they don't touch reach other or the frame. Let me know if that fixes the problem.

The second way is to have really bad F&R contacts in forward.

Thanks Scotty and JonnieB. I hope to get back on it later today. Thanks for the tips. It is 1994 model and is series.

When I bought it the owner told me the reason the FNR is reverse is because it was replaced with a later model and they had to install it upside down to fit the mounting plate.

It worked fine for the few months I was able to use it before the batteries just got too weak to take off into the woods.

Thanks to all......I will let you know when I find as soon as I can get back to it.
