Re: Charging a golf cart in an apartment and in the rain?
I have an EZZGO TEXTRON and the directions ( which i did not read for a month LOL) Say turn the charger off then plug it in to the buggie, wait for the click, then turn charger on to 1...
I do not know if every one does this. But I made a cord to open my seat and I leave it open while charging. This gives me the opportunity to check my cables, and water. |

Re: Charging a golf cart in an apartment and in the rain?
The 120 volt outlet that you plug your charger into probably wasn't designed to have a heavy three pronged plug inserted and removed every day. Probably the most common "temporary" household appliances would be a vacuum cleaner and an iron. Other than that, most outlets wouldn't see daily activity. If you're plugging into an extension cord, they might expect to see six days a week on a construction site, but then they probably would only be expected to do that for a year or so, before the cord is damaged and replaced.
If this were really necessary, I'd add a wall switch to my outlet. A "quality" switch does expect to be used quite a number of times before it dies. |
