Six red flashes means charger failure, but I wouldn't trust a PW QE as a boat anchor either.
Paperweight maybe, but only if they weren't important papers.

Do yourself and you batteries a favor and get one of these. http://www.cartsunlimited.net/48v_Battery_Charger.html

What "JohnnieB" said, and borrow a charger to get your batteries charged as soon as you can! The longer they sit discharged, the more damage is done to them!

I feel your pain !!! I received a QE charger with my used cart and it was similar to yours. "Piece of crap". I was lucky enough to score a used (older model) Powerwise from Craigs list. I transferred the charging cable/connector and the AC cord from the QE to the new/old charger and life has been good since. Good luck - RAY

Exactly! The QE is a good charger, yeah, good yard filler..Wait, i take that back, before you fill your yard with it, cut off the cords for reuse.
