I mounted a SPM 600 in that location behind the seat (a 600 has a 16" cabinet, and does NOT fit in stock location). Had reversing contactors back there too. Space was kinda tight, so i mounted the controller facing up, instead of down like yurtle did. I took a taller "star car" rear cover and cut one end off (so it would fit, and provided a good air supply to the fan from top-side). Sorry, no pics, maybe i will get some next time its in for routine maintenence.

I tried to put my spm 600 behind the seat and above the motor. I didn't like it so it went on the drivers side frame rail next to the batteries and the reversing contactor and solenoid on the other side. I made all my cables so this worked well.

I don't think you could fit anything larger than mine where I mounted mine, without a lift. I doubt mine would have worked without new HD springs. Clearance to the motor is the problem.

That motor issue, and reversing contactors were why i mounted it facing up, and higher.

Mine is as high as it can go, due to the cover on a TXT.

Yep, thats why i cut one end off of a taller "star car" rear cover and used it. Looks just like a ezgo rear cover with a big "hump" in it (and wider, too wide when not cut).
