no clicking at solenoid when i push pedal
I have a 96 ezgo txt DCS cart. Ran fine all day last Sunday. Monday, got on it and it moved 8 feet then quit. I have noticed that when i push the pedal, i dont hear the clicking noice at the solenoid anymore. I replaced the solenoid and the micro switch in the floor, and still nothing. I have a alltrax 400 controller, and purple plumquic motor. the alltrax controller has a green light on top, and now when i push the pedal it turns a reddish amber color. Any ideas?

most of the alltrax controller go thru a certain number of flashes. try powering it up and see how flashes you are getting. we can go from there.

Re: no clicking at solenoid when i push pedal
The reddish/orange is called Yellow.
It means the controller is receiving a full throttle signal from the ITS and the controller is not in current limit. (Normal - nothing to worry about) The controller seems to be working. (Green LED comes on - turns to yellow when pedal is floored) The solenoid is not clicking, so let's see if we are getting battery pack voltage to it. With key ON and either F or R selected, you should have pack voltage on the solenoid's small terminal with three wires on it. (I'm pretty sure there is since the Green LED comes on, meaning Pin-6 has pack voltage on it and Pin-6 connects the the solenoid's small terminal with three wires on it) Now measure the voltage on the other small terminal (has a blue wire on it). It should be pack voltage with pedal up and zero volts with pedal down. If no voltage with pedal up, either solenoid coil is open or diode is installed backwards. If the is pack voltage, but it does not drop to zero when pedal is pushed, the blue wire is bad, or the pedal microswitch is not telling controller to energize the solenoid (Pack voltage on Pin-5 when pedal is down), or the controller is bad. Attached are a schematic of a DCX controller in a DCS cart and an Operators manual for DCX controllers. List of LED error codes on page -3. |

Re: no clicking at solenoid when i push pedal
update on cart. Took it to an ezgo dealer and this is what happened. He changed out the controller, (nothing), changed soleniod, Nothing), took my plumbquick motor off and put a stock ezgo motor on and the cart ran (i watched him pull it on my trailer and take his motor off). I took my motor over to plumquick to test it, and the motor is fine. I watched them check it. Came home and put the plumbqiuck motor on and cart is doing the same thing. Going to take golf cart to plumbquick to fix friday. They are good people and if something is bad with there motor, they will fix it. Will keep everyone informed. Thanks for everyones help.
