New Cart - 22x11-9 - Performance Concerns?
Hey Guys,
Recently came across a cart for a nice deal... 99' EzGo TXT Series It came with 22x11-9 tires on it and a lift kit. The cart was modified with a Workhorse rear fascia and tailgate. All the mods seems to be done well. My question: Are the tires too big? My low end torque is slight, which I understand because of the tires... My top end is decent around 12-15mph. I noticed that on a slight incline of about 10+ degree, you can feel the cart sluggish. Also... On occasion, you can be cruising at WOT and the car will actually slow down a bit, then pick up speed again. Tires? Motor? Controller? First cart... Thanks for the insights. |

Re: New Cart - 22x11-9 - Performance Concerns?
I have a 99 workhorse with 22-11-10s. Haven't had any problems, though I haven't had them long or tried too much off road yet. I did take the cart out on the farm field by my house to see what it would do on a hill. It was a pretty decent incline, and a long way to the top. I sat at the bottom so no running start, and had no problem getting to the top. I didn't get there real fast, but I got there.
I do have a problem if turning hard to the left. The inside of the tire rubs on the brake arm that sticks down through the floor. Looks like I may need spacers for the front to take care of that problem. |
