Default Clear coat ????

I just painted a fender on my Yamaha G11. Used Duplicolor car, truck & suv paint in rattle can. Then applied two coats od duplocolor clear coat. The finish has a great color but has some light texture to it. Can I get it to have the "slick" finish?

once its good and dry, you can wet sand it with a 1000 or 1500 grit then buff it out, try to use a sanding block as much at you can.

Pizzamaker-- How long will I need to wait before I wet sand and buff. What can I do to help get the clear coat shiny when I paint.
NewGuy-- What is a wet coat? Thanks

For clear coat to shine as sprayed, you don't want light mist coats. You want to spray it on heavy but not so heavy that it runs or sags.

Thanks NewGuy. I painted the other fender & front cowl today. Your advice about painting a wet coat was right on. They turned out great. I'll re do the other fender next weekend. This forum has been unbelievable. I got all the info I needed to paint the cart right out of this forum. Can't wait to get it all back together.
