Columbia Parts
Hi,
I picked up a couple of 2001's out of Columbia's bone yard last Friday and have one torn down to the frame already. I plan on doing a 4WD conversion but need some information. Stupid me forgot the VIN's at home but I know ParCar has them on my reciept. I've got a call in right now to technical support but haven't received a call back yet so I thought I'd post here for the benifit of anyone else who's interested and for a log. What I'd like to know first of all is what the gear ratio of the rear end is on the carts I purchased. I'd really like to get this info ASAP so I can order the parts I need quickly. It'll take a while for them to ship. Secondly, I'd like to get a hold of a parts manual and wiring diagram (I see that the only one's availlable on this site go to 2000 but not 2001). There are a bunch of odds and end's I'll need as I do a frame-up restoration/conversion on this buggy. Lastly, does anyone know if the H12 rear axle in these carts have the same carrier as a 1998 to 2006 EZ-GO electric? I'm thinking about the plowmans posi-unit. Thanks! |

3ED-30520-E1
3ED-30638-E1 the 96-2000 manual is good through about 2003 There's a sticker on the axle carrier showing a Dana number and usually the axle ratio. |

The sticker on the differential is worn off unfortunately which is why I was hoping you'd know what was in there stock. Otherwise there is something on the carrier itself? I'm guessing it's the 12.44:1 but I just want to make sure. I suppose I could spin the wheel while watching how many times the input shaft goes around when I get home.......... |

Re: Columbia Parts
Whatever one is, so is the other. I'm guessing 12.44 too. There's nothing in our system showing the build record and the gear ratio.

I'm taking the chance and just ordered the 4WD kit. Worst case, I'll have to ship a sprocket back. The freight charge on this one is going to be great..... |

Re: Columbia Parts
There's a few of those over there, attached to carts. You can try PM'ing Tech Support and see if they'll scavenge one for you. Otherwise I don't know if I'll have an extra one out of my build or not. My kit should be showing up next week and I'll know at that time if I need the two I've got.
