The "on board" option is about the DC cable with ring connectors and not the mode of operation.

Got it most of the way apart now. Going clean up and repair some of the battery tray.

Are you planning to mount the charger on the vehicle with permanent wiring. Or will you be charging via a port near the F/R switch?

Not sure why there was a "Lester On Board" line item. Just make sure you aren't being charged for something you don't need.
