Any controllers with a valet switch?
I have a PDS cart.
I'm planning on adding a 7th battery and upgrading the controller. I'm looking for a programmable controller that can be easily switched between 2 performance levels, one for me, one for the grandkids. Thanks |

You can have a switchable 1/2 speed with the old Alltrax DCX

Thanks for the reply.
Does it limit the rpm or the power? |

Re: Any controllers with a valet switch?
It is going to reduce the throttle signal by 50% effectively reducing power and speed.
The Alltrax XCT control has user 1 and 2 memory settings but they are only accessible by computer now, I anticipate a remote switch later on. |

Re: Any controllers with a valet switch?
This would not be the ideal solution but if you can't find the old Alltrax controller is there a way you can mechanically limit the pedal travel temporarily? Perhaps a wooden block behind the pedal or a bolt through the pedal arm? It would be kind of a pain since you would have to put it on and take it off but maybe better than nothing.

Re: Any controllers with a valet switch?
So funny story. I use my golf cart to travel between my home and the golf course. The club was not quite sure on how to handle this, so I just pretended it was like a real car and valet parked it for a while. I made sure I told the valets to park it in a good spot by the nice cars.

Re: Any controllers with a valet switch?
Yes, Navitas makes makes one. Also sold under a Madjax label I think. Has an optional "on the fly" programer with a valet key. Site sponsors sell them. Recommend you talk to the retailer directly for EZGO compatibility. You will probably need other upgrades like a solenoid and high current cables. Pricey.
