Re: pds speed chip instructions
Yes the chip has red wires. Also, the cart runs at 13 mph with the new chip installed, flat pavement.

Re: pds speed chip instructions
Haven't tried cart without a chip installed, didn't see any reason to. Just confused as why the cart was at 17 mph, before installing the new batteries, now only 13 mph.

Re: pds speed chip instructions
By taking the chip out and comparing performance you can determine if the controller is even "seeing" the chip. This could lead to further investigation.

Re: pds speed chip instructions
ok, i can remove the chip and see what you are asking.
Since cart runs fine but just 13 mph, make sme wonder what happened? All i did was install new batteries, remove old chip, and tried new chip. |

Could be that the new battery pack is not putting out enough voltage to push the cart faster than 13MPH. Could be the controller is stuck in Golf mode or Steep hill mode. Could be the magnet disk on the motor shaft is slipping. Could be the controller is bad. Could be bad brushes in the motor. Could be bad solenoid contacts. Could be a bad high current cable. Could be a bad ITS. The trick to figuring out why it is only going 13 MPH is to start at Square-1 and work forward, eliminating the possibilities as you go. What is the Battery pack voltage???????????????????????? What does it drop to when cart is doing 13MPH????????????????????? |
