Default 89 EZGO Marathon goes faster in reverse than forward.

I just replaced the speed coil, forward reverse switch in my cart but it still goes faster in reverse than forward. I literally can peel out in reverse. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this?

easy.....swap the leads on the F&R switch 3 and 9 o'clock position) or swap the S1 and S2 cables on the motor.

It will be easier to spin the tires in reverse than in forward. When you take off going forward, physics will move weight to the rear tires which results in them getting more grip and spinning less. Alternatively, when you take off in reverse, the weight will transfer off of the rear tires, which results in wheel spin.

You may very well be faster in reverse, but don't judge that based on wheel spin.

Mine will blow the tires off in reverse (series TXT) but i figured it was the weight transfer. You may well experience the same thing. Kids love it, lol.
