Default Battery hold down bracket is not coming out

Ezgo medalist battery hold bracket is not coming out preventing me from removing batteries
What do I do?

Get a little wonder bar in there and pry it up. Tape up the bar if youre worried about dropping it across the post. A little tap, tap with a hammer should help bust it loose. Worst case, you can drill out a very small part of the top of the plastic piece to give a little relief from the rod.

I always try some penetrating oil like WD40 on the threads. Allow it to soak in for a while. My best results are when it sits overnight. But I have had some results in a few hours.

Thread the nut back on the top of the hold downs until the thread reaches the edge of the nut, while prying up, tap the nut with a hammer. Alternate sides until you get it off..

I ended up tapping the bolts with a rubber mallet and somehow it ended up coming out!
