2000 V-Glide wiper play
The V glide wiper has more that a 1/8 inch play. As far a I can tell the adustment are at the max on both ends of the throttle push rod. Due to the slack the wiper sets on both of the highest speed contacts and I can't adust it out. I am assuming that a new slider will not have the slack and that is what I need to replace. Just want to confirm that with someone that has experience. The only adjustment I see is on the throttle linkage.

Re: 2000 V-Glide wiper play
At wide open the wiper touchs both of the last two contacts. I am not sure I know how to adjust the linkage.

Re: 2000 V-Glide wiper play
Mine was that way but i had enough adjustment in my linkage to make it go to the last contact. It did not make a difference on mine.

Re: 2000 V-Glide wiper play
Sometimes the problem is in the peddle itself....They tend to get loose so that they move 1/4 of their travel before the linkage begins to move.....

Re: 2000 V-Glide wiper play
It is interesting that you made the adjustment but it did not fix the problem. I do not think I have figured out how to make the adjustment, I think I am just fooling with the locking nut. Do you have to take the linkage apart and turn the ends?

Re: 2000 V-Glide wiper play
The problem is max speed about 7 mph and low torque. I get only 35.7 volts at the motor when jack at full throttle.
