Default Lose torque with big wheels?

I'm in the process of lifting a 2006 precedent and putting 18" car wheels on. I am concerned about losing torque. I "assume" I will pick up top end speed. Putting a higher gear in would solve this, but I "assume" would loose that top end speed. would a high speed motor work, to balance it all out? Any Ideas??? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! The goal is around 20-25mph.

yes you gain speed and yes you lose torque change all the cables to #2 welding lead the controller to a alltrex that is what we do for all are custom carts that we do.... and we don't put nothing on less then an 18" inch rim with low profile tires. the black cart has 18" on it the red one has 22"

I'm not a fan of the gangsta rims. Makes the carts look like they needs a shetland pony in front pulling it around, but to each their own.

Thanks sms-shop, Is there any benefit to a high speed motor or gears on top of the new controller and cables?

no need for the high speed motor in my opinion ....... we go for torque... and believe me no pony of any kind need to pull these carts around ,,,being familiar with ponys is good tho ,,,,so you know the word .... whoa down .....
