Smile Saturday Cruising/Battery Exercise

Installed new Trojan T-105's about 2 weeks ago. After charging the weather has finally warmed up to a tolerable temperature (28 degrees) to take my cart for a spin to work the batteries. Drove around the block several times and brought batteries to a 75% charge level before parking and putting back on the charger. I also took a picture of the cart as I was traveling down the sidewalk. Incidentally, we received over 20" of snow this past week in the Blizzard of 2011 in Chicago. You may not be able to tell from this photo.

that is one of the coolest pics I have seen on BGW ! But I will say.....I thought S.C. was bad, I could not hang with your weather ! I also did not look up your coordinates, but I have a good idea of your general location

Thanks for photo.

Good you got in that first 25% draw down behind you. Are you one that does that several times with a new battery bank?

That was my first run since I put new batteries in. I intend on running it every so often during the remainder of the winter (providing the weather is cooperating) It's already finished charging and ready for it's next run! Maybe tomorrow!

Thanks! Same to you... Don't think a ride is gonna be on my agenda for today. Got another 3" of fresh snow here, and it's still snowing... C'mon spring!

The son wanted to go today. It was 44 and sprinkled on us and the wind was strong but we made a 10 mile run (leaves us with 75% of SOC). When we got back we went into the fields and it climbed some very steep hills on soft ground but it was slow in spots.

Our snow is gone for the most part but more may come this week. The next week is above freezing at night and hits near 60 per forecast. We should see a 70 degree day this month.
