Aux Battery Mounting

The pigtail is directly wired back to the battery post? Did you use 8 ga for the pigtail and the terminal block? Thanks

I just put pigtail on aux battery posts and use some spare 8gauge wire I had from Battle to fuse block

I'm assuming that the battery is 12 volts? Is it a deep cycle? Where can I find one? Cost? I would like to use it to run my radio (presets also) and my headlights, as well as my under body LED's.

Yep 12 v Deep cycle and I had a buddy that works for manufacturer pick it up for me for $50 its actually a handicap scooter battery and fits perfect in tray in dash, I just sit it in marked it and used rotozip to cut out the top tray smoothed edges and then put weatherstripping on sides and set battery down in and it doesn't move a bit so works out really well. I got the idea from another forum member who done the same thing you should be able to pull up his post in search but if I can help you out in anyway just let me know..

I like the size of those scooter batteries...... How many amp hours would be sufficient for the radio and auxillary lights?

I did one with an Odyssey Battery a while back....

I also put a 55amp sealed 12 volt battery in the dash. I used a contactor from the ignition switch to turn on and off the 12 volt power to the fuse block

What did you have the odyssey battery sitting on. I have the same setup with same dash board but when I tried that the batter wouldn't fit unless I cut the tray out, but then had nothing for it to rest on.

If you cut the top tray out there is another tray under it that the battery can sit down in on look at the pic I posted earlier here and it shows battery sitting down inside top tray resting on bottom tray
