Re: 94 Club Car, Slower with high speed motor
Go to this link, not to buy from them and not to endorse the motor either. Just to give you an idea of what I would be looking for to increase speed:
http://www.cloudelectric.com/product-p/nivel-7123.htm This motor is a 36 volt motor and from what I have read was using the mph off a 36 volt system. Most all of the other motors I see have specs using 48 volts and as said by someone earlier, putting the motor in a 36 volt system will have reduced speed and torque. BTW, that same motor can be had cheaper at other vendors, I saw $480 at one. Advance motors should rate like GE so that hp rating should be sustainable, not peak. Most other motors are rated on peak power. |

Re: 94 Club Car, Slower with high speed motor
If everything you have tried is equal to the other car and it is still running slow, could it be DIFFERENT gear ratio? Just throwing out the idea for consideration.

Re: 94 Club Car, Slower with high speed motor
man what a PITA for u. All this time and money spent and less mph to show for it. how frustrating. This is the reason I haven't bought a new motor yet.
I get 22 mph on flat ground with stock everything and 23" tires on my 2003 IQ DS. I want more tq but if i go messing with it ill likely loose speed which i dont want to do |
