Re: Long Travel lift front & rear, Lithium powered TXT build
Rotated the battery pack and mounted it. I turned it for a couple reasons. Room to add additional batteries if desired (would require relocation of charger and aux battery, easy) and easier access to connections.
I also wanted to keep the left side under drivers seat open for storage so I mounted charger behind lithium pack and aux battery. This also keeps the weight more centered, can't hurt. Here's pictures everyone likes. I used J-bolts to mount the battery pack to the threaded rods that hold pack together. I used heat shrink on both the threaded rod end and J-bolts so there wouldn't be wear on thread to thread contact. Aux battery is mounted using a large stainless steel hose clamp with heat shrink over it too for grip. The battery is solid mounted. . |

Sportcoupe, that's going to be a sweet ride when you get through with it. Looking great so far bud. What brand of tires you got on it? They look familiar, but I can't remember the name. Never mind, I just saw them on the 24" and up club.

Re: Long Travel lift front & rear, Lithium powered TXT build
For anyone else wondering, the tires are 25x10-12 Kenda Terra Trac. They run small though, just a hair over 24" tall.
This isn't the first Leaf battery cart. Member Toplsvette converted his ezgo txt cart with a 48v, 60Ah pack but never posted range info. Post #70 http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...tml#post987801 Another member (wbbragg) put used lithium iron phosphate prismatic cells in an old lifted ezgo, 36v, 40Ah pack and got 10 miles range. Post #75 http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ml#post1003782 Neither member posts much at all so there is no further info. So with limited info I can guess that my 120Ah pack will have 3 times the range of the above 40Ah pack possibly. Maybe more, maybe less? Dunno. I've got to sell a cart to finish this one. Still need a controller and motor. I'm thinking PDS for sure most likely. An Alltrax from Scotty and a call to D&D for a motor. |

Called ScottyB and I have an Alltrax DCX500 controller (package 909) along with an Ausco disc brake kit coming for this build.

SC,
You are the man! I need to drive 3.5 hrs east on 16 and visit you one of these days. Did you move the 72 volt? Great build! Steve |

Re: Long Travel lift front & rear, Lithium powered TXT build
I sent red 72v cart to consignment today. Maybe it will get more visibility there.
I have Andy's monster 72v cart for sale locally. Andy and I traded a while ago. My daughter has been riding that cart. I want to get down to one cart for us. That will be this lithium battery cart. Come visit the beach and stop by one day. I'm 10 mins from Tybee. Hilton head isn't far either. |

You couldn't pay me to live in Atlanta, or even near it.
