It has a brake disc that's inside the transmission, submerged in oil. Instead of having brakes on the wheels.

It's very similar to a motorcycle clutch, except all the reaction plates are pinned to the transaxle, so they will never spin.

And it’s on 2007 to about 2014 YDREs. Not fun to replace but doable.

Went back to traditional drum brakes on the Dana style axle.

On the 2009 YDRE golf cart I purchased last month I’ve noticed that when you brake hard the cart makes a sort of grinding noise but still stops and then when you go to take off after braking the cart makes a clicking noise for about 20-30feet what is the cause of this?
