Re: Another torque kit problem check it out for me
You should only have one spacer. The factory c-clip more than likely broke some time back and it was replaced with a spacer. The c-clip was a bad design in my opinion. They always end up breaking with time. Check the original spacer and make sure it is approximately where the factory c-clip would be (there is an indention on the shaft), if you can tell. If it is just use it alone and remove the one that came in your kit. You only need one spacer. If you use two, I doubt you'll get the clutch system back together and if you are able to, you'll have virtually no top end at all due to it being almost impossible for the belt to separate the two sheaves.

Re: Another torque kit problem check it out for me
Ok guys thanks alot for the input. I will try that later, when I was messing with it yesterday I couldn't get the first spacer off and on the instructions it didn't say anything about removing the spacer. When I put it back together I went from top speed of 20mph to 10mph so I put the stock spring back in I will try it with one spacer. Thanks again for all your help Jason

the extra spacer is what lost you 10mph, not the heavery spring.

Just leave the first spacer. I wouldn't even try to take it off.

I use a prybar put it against the transmission cover & space
leave it in neutral so you can turn the shaft over just pry it out gently it should come off the both of them just put one back on . Good luck |

Thanks spriddle for your stickie it was great I just got confused because there was already a spacer on mine and no C-clip. Thanks again for everyones help.
