carb problems g-9

i have a problem with my g-9 overheating and i would like to get rid of factory air box . just to many problems associated with it.what size jet and type of filter do i need to get ?yes the fins are clean ,plastic on and muffler clean but still getting hot

Probably something wrong with it or its worn out like mine is. I hogged my stock jet out until it ran right, after I modded the stock airbox. I used a torch tip cleaner. You can get the bowl and jet off in the cart if you try a little. Just keep filing it out until there is no hesitation when you floor it from idle, then run it hard and read the plug. In the summer I never use the choke, lol, it is better for them to be a little rich they run cooler.

thanks for ya`lls help i ordered the jet and filter from tom at cpp .and it came in less than 30 hrs later. but i have not had the time to put it together.
