Default G16 Clutch Problem

I recently purchased a 96 G16 gas cart, being told by the owner it needed a new clutch. When I got it home, it would just lunge forward, but the clutch indeed wasn't working properly. So I bought a new drive clutch and installed it, and now the belt just rests on the shaft, and when the accelerator is pressed, the shaft just spins while the belt goes no where. Does anyone have an idea to my problem? Thanks!

Normaly the original clutch would have had 1 or all 3 rollors go flat, causing the weight/weights to stick when the clutch was fully engaged. The new spider/rollor kits like 130.00. What type of clutch did you buy? Did you get the bolt real tight? Got a picture?

Thanks for the quick response. Upon further inspection this evening, I realized that only the starter is turning over and free spinning the clutch. The Motor isnt getting any spark at all to run the motor. So I assume its an electrical problem and I'll have to print out a wiring diagram and hunt the issue. Are there any common problems in this area? Thanks
