My g1 engine
My engine seems fine tore the top off and theres a little burn on the side of piston but no oil leaks etc, but how can i put another engine in the cart what modifications do i need to do. Also how will my reverse work or will it? I like the looks of this 2 stroke but worries me.

Re: My g1 engine
These carts get reverse by running the engine backwards. The engine actually starts and runs in the opposite direction. In order to retain reverse, your replacement engine must have this capability- most engines do not.
Your options are: Rebuild/ replace your current engine with the same thing. Install a different engine that will run both clockwise and counterclockwise. Install an engine that only runs in normal rotation and lose reverse. Install a different transmission with mechanical reverse. What is wrong with your current engine? These can be rebuilt quite economically if you have even moderate mechanical skills. |
