Default Sealing air filter box

On my 95 G9 gasser one of my air filter mounting hooks is broken off the top part. I have 3 good straps that work. I have always heard that sealing the air box in very important. Do you thinks having only 3 straps not 4 is ok? Can I just seal that spot on the box where there is no strap with some tape? Or should I order a new air filter box top so I have 4 good mounting points. Maybe I am just over thinking this.

I have the extra rubber hook (strap). It is just that the top part of the airbox does not have the part to hook on to, it broke off.

That presents a problem....find a good used one, or hillbilly it.

Sounds like I might need to do a little redneck technology to me. It might just work.

Think about a small screw with a square nut behind it for a hook, then a small washer behind that, then another washer and nut on the inside of the lid.
Go to ACE bet you can make it up!
