Default Headlight pulsation

I recently installed a new set of headlights and taillights on my 2000 G16. When going slowly the headlights are steady and bright. When the motor gets going faster the lights begin to pulsate, they get brighter and dimmer. It is fast almost like a strobe. How do I eliminate this problem.

Wow, never heard this one. Did you wire the lites derectly to the battery? Might put a volt meter on the battery, put the car in nuetral and rev the engine, the charging circuit should read 14.5 to 15.5 volts.

Yes the positive and the negative are connected directly to the battery. The headlights were the set from Buggies Unlimited complete with wire harness so I don't think there is much room to screw it up. I will try to do a volt check to see if it is charging properly. It is pretty annoying.

It may be the voltage regulator switching in and out.
Let us know what you find.

Or switch the bulbs to HIDs and you wont have that problem! Mine use to pulse some, I think its from not having a full charge. But never really looked into it. Could be from the alt. charging also, maybe the battery is low enough that the alt. is mainly running the power instead of the battery. Or something like that, maybe have your battery checked.

Ok, I voltage tested the battery and it tests out at 12.2 volts at rest and 15.2 volts with steady throttle in neutral. One person mentioned to replace with bosch relay? Which relay and why?? Where to go from here??
