Default 1993 Yamaha G9 Parts?

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and to golf cart ownership. I just purchased a 93' G9 golf cart with a 3" lift kit and oversized tires for backyard fun. The price was pretty reasonable at $600 with a perfect body. The problem is the engine seems to run only when you pull and hold the choke. I also got the smell of fuel in the motor oil. I was going to look a little closer at things this weekend to see if I can nail down the problem. My question is, if I have to break this thing down to fix/rebuild the motor, where is a good place to get parts? Will a standard Yamaha dealer be able to get them for me, or should I look elsewhere? Any help or information is appreciated.
Thanks

check with our site sponcers for parts! and as for the cart running only on choke; check the black plastic carb spacer for cracks, aslo make sure the airbox is sealed tight and cleaning the carb isn't a bad idea. also on the carb check the mixture screw (bigger one) and screw it in and seat it lightly and turn it out 1 1/2 turns. let us know how it goes!

Sounds like fuel may be getting by the carb, usually stuck float.
