Default Hole lot of give in the steering wheel!

I have a G2 and there's a hole lot of give in the steering wheel.
I can turn the wheel at least 4 inches both ways before it starts
turning the tires. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
I haven't torn into it yet, but i'm thinking maybe a stripped or broken gear??

I would try this fix posted by smallblock450sl to start with:

The best thing I can recommend is pack the steering box with grease (it really helps "tighten" up the play) and with the front end jacked up, turn the adjustment screw in and then use a "finger" to turn the steering wheel..If you feel any "binding or tight spot",back off the screw 1/4 turn till no binding spot. Good luck. Dave

Flintrock.....How you remember my "dribbling posts"? Hope it helps, but there could be worn pitman shaft pins and steering shaft worm gear groove damage....heck, could even be damaged shaft bearings and the adjustment preload for the bearings......I hate golf carts! But try the easy stuff first.

I thank everyone for all the help i've gotton on this site so far. I took the lid off my steering gear box housing and saw the gear box casing has a major crack in the upper left corner. Need another gear box housing!! Any cheap ones out there?
