Default New to Golf carts

Hello I was just given a 91 G9 that is not running. I am not getting spark and the i have to jump the stelonid to get the cart to roll over. I have 12V on the red/white wire; however, i have a hit or miss 8V on the orande wire going into the coil. you help would be appreaciated.

Sounds like the pedal switch is bad test that first you can hotwire it to be on to test other stuff. Check/test all connections and grounds and fuses first, only takes a few minutes and cures a lot of things. These carts are not frame ground everything grounds with a wire check them all it is common with age for them to need cleaning/etc. and easy to miss as cars most are used to don't use much ground wiring.
