G1 Spark but won't start
Finally got a used motor installed in the 1985 G1. Have spark and turns over in forwards and reverse. Got spark after running a ground wire to the coil.
Doesn't even kick or try and start, squirtting gas in the carb or into plug hole doesn't even work - seems like pretty good compression (just holding hand over plug hole ) Any suggestions ?? |

I wondered about that - tried to go buy a new plug, but was too late and the only store I could find open didn't have the right plugs ! First thing tomorrow I'll give that a try ! Thanks !!

OK that didn't work, does anyone know what the spec is for the coil ? Still not that crazy about my spark !
What about Crank seals - I should get at least a kick even if these need replaced ?? |

Replace the seals: clutch side and fan side.

In process of doing that right now !
Anyone know where I can get the linkage that goes from from the throttle to the bar the controls the exhaust baffles ? |
