Sounds like YOU had one too After the second rearend, the 4th 4 speed...put a 283 and power glide in it. My dad helped, was the best time we spent togeather (have to say my dad was not a happy man and on the mean side), but it was a time I will never forget. When he took it for a drive, he just about took the headers and mufflers off. It's ok now, he's gone, I'm not angree with him anymore, and when I remember the smile on his face when he came back from that test drive.........as they say now....PRICELESS

Yeah, I had a '76 GT 5spd, 2.3L, 2-barrel carb, all aluminum engine. I put 125K miles on that car till I got rear-ended at a toll both. It was the first new car I ever bought. Yeah, I had one.....

Glad to hear you have reached an agreement with your father.

Mine was Met. Silver, but when it started rusting I repaired it all and had it painted Met. Black, added gold pinstripes, and painted the styled steel wheels gold for that Cosworth Vega look. Had those same tires as Ess.

Remember those international tail lights with the amber panels that had no turn signal lights behind them? I modded mine to work correctly by adding in a pair of reverse light sockets and bulbs in that space. The outline for the cutout was there, just had to push it in. Yeah, I had one....
