I big blocked mine due to purchased w/o motor, do some reading in the big block/clone section . even with the clone motor you can pick up some great hp and from what I've read not very hard conversion

What clone engine would you use for my 1989 club car? Also where could I fine these at? Im guessing the rotaion on mine cart would be clock wise?

a 89 is counter clockwise, harbor freight has decent deals on 11hp and 13hp read some of the clone builds ,a lot of good conversions have been done here

Your KF82 (along with all aftermarket engines) are counterclockwise...
depending on how much you want to spend, and how much you want to fabricate,
a clone would be a good start, BUT... Mr Club Car has a rebuilt KF82 for a direct swap, if your interested!
