Default 1984 - 1989 Club Car Ignition Coil alternative

Is there any way to use a 90-91 ignition coil now that the 84-89 coil is discontinued? or is there anywhere I can get a 84-89 coil?

I'm pretty sure my 88 has a newer coil on it. Not 100% but pretty sure.

I believe the 90-91 coil has a 2 wire plug and the 84-89 coil has a 3 wire plug. Besides that they look very similar.

Can anyone confirm that I can use a 90-91 2 wire coil on my 85 club car? What is the extra wire for on the older models?

Ok I got an answer on this from my buddy Roy (screenname "RSP"). He knows these carts backwards and forwards and he says that the 1990-91 coil, as long as it has an internal rev limiter, will work on any Club Car KF82 motor. But he says that the newer coils aren't as good as the older coils and are not as reliable.
