Here's a few more. The cart was a stretched E-Z-Go frame, 12-12v AGM batteries, capable of two high speed passes on a charge. On his first pass he blew up one of the batts. Scary, but no injury.

there are lots of pics @ myspace.com krazykarts or google krazykartsinc dragster it ran 13.40 in the 1/4 mile @ 89mph

Oh, and BTW, I was NOT dissin' anyone's reaction time. I was simply trying to determine if this was another gas vs electric issue. I did not drive in the drag race, I only saw with my own eyes that the gassers seemed to "stall" on the line.

I think KrazyKarts were running thirteen 12V batteries; at least they were by the end of the day. Do you happen to have their 1/8-mile ET? I know they broke 79 MPH in the 1/8 mile.
