Has anyone tried the cheap carbs from Amazon? Any reviews? Good or bad. Thanks

I ordered a cheap aftermarket carb for my G16 and it ran... but that's the only good I can say about it. While it ran it was crude. Throttle response was mushy and it seemed to have some rpm's where it didn't like running much at all.

I ordered a OEM replacement (Mikuni?) worked perfectly out of the box. The idle was much smoother than the cheapo and overall drivability was as you'd expect for a new cart. Back when I had to get a carburetor I don't think Plowman's wasn't advertising carb work so I didn't even check with them but next time around they will be my first call.

I have had some "ok" luck with the China carbs. No joking, if you go that route buy two or three of them. As they are so cheap you may as well. If the first one is poo poo you'll have another one on hand. Eventually, you'll got one that works.

Or get the China carb and a jet kit, and be prepared to spend a fair bit of time tweaking it to run correctly.

unfortunately with the older carts thats our only option. sometimes combining parts from the original carb to the aftermarket or visa versa works out

Just a quick update. The Amazon carb worked fine. No adjustments needed. No leaks. No complaints. The brand I purchased was qazaky.
