Here are some updates. I changed out the spark plugs and gapped them to 0.30. I cleaned the car and checked the valves again. I am not the best at “feeling” the clearance with the feeler gauges but I think I have them pretty close to the 0.004 specs. I drove the cart around for 15 minutes and it is still smoking. Seems like a little more smoke when I initially climbed my hill and then it gets better but is still smoking. Attached is a video of it smoking after driving for 15 minutes or so. I am not really familiar with how much smoking is normal. How does this look to you all? Then when I parked it I pulled the intake hose off and there is gas in there. See the pictures for the gas in the intake and a picture of what the spark plugs look like after 15 minutes of driving.

I needed up not having the sore carburetor I though I had, could a bad carburetor be causing all of these issues?

That’s way too rich to foul plugs like that.

With the carb removed and the bowl off, Use a new piece of fuel line in the fuel supply inlet nipple. With the carb upright you should be able to blow through the hose. Turn the carb upside down, the float should be pretty much level with the base of the carb and you should NOT be able to blow through the hose no matter how hard you try. If you can blow through it then the needle is not seating and it’s gonna flood

Try that and see what happens

I removed the carb like you said and you can blow through it when it is upright but when it is upside down you cannot blow through it at all

Also, the plastic float is starting to peel for some reason, see the attachment

I’d take that float out and submerge it in some water. See if it takes any inside it. If so then the float won’t float

Done, it floats and does not take on water. Will valve stem seals cause the issues I am seeing? I was originally thinking I was burning some oil and they might be bad. Would they let gas into the oil?

No, valve stem seals won’t have anything to do with fuel flooding into the engine. That’s all carb or possibly a torn diaphragm in the fuel pump allowing fuel to go into the crankcase through the pulse line, but if that were the case then your oil would be overfilled and smell like gas.

The oil does smell like gas! It is not overfilled though. I did change the oil as soon as i received the cart and that oil smells like gas (I still have it). When I take out the dip stick, the oil I just put in it (have maybe ran for 30 minutes in total since) smells like gas as well. Is there anyway to take apart the pump and check to see if that is the issue?
