what snapped?
my ez go no longer goes. Yesterday I changed gears, after a complete stop, and it would no longer travel. I seem to hear the motor run, but no fwd of rev. I t is a elect, 36v, newer model

I've heard that the splines on the brake drums are bad about stripping out. You could jack it up and check easily by removeing the tires. Good luck Greg

No need to remove tires or even jack up the cart. Just remove the rear hubcaps and hit the gas. If the castle nut turns and the wheels don't, the hub is stripped. It only takes one stripped hub to keep an open differential from propelling the cart.

I've had people try to buy differentials before, and ending up selling them one hub... lol...
