Re: Best batteries for money/place to purchase?
Standard cart is not made to pull heavy stuff around. If you want to that you need to upgrade your controller for more amps(torque). Did you replace all wiring with 4ga, not just battery wires? You said you filled with distilled water, only supposed to put enough to cover plates by 1/2 inch.

Re: Best batteries for money/place to purchase?
As far as I know it is bone stock. Serial# F2296 Manuf. code 950436. I have worked this cart hard and never had a problem, (the batts. were Trogans, now Energizers) there is deffinetaly heat coming from the GO/TOW box. Harry |

Re: Best batteries for money/place to purchase?
The Go/Tow box is a cover over your controller and solenoid. You can remove the box and inspect which component is getting hot. Hopefully it is the solenoid which can be upgraded for about $50 or so. The controller does not like heat at all, and if it gets too warm....POOF! Figure about $400 for an upgraded 400 amp controller that will fill your power needs.
BTW, since your cart is a '96 and has a Run/Tow switch it is a DCS cart. Does it slow itself down when it descends a hill? |
