pedal start question
I recently bought a 2000 carryall 6 that a had a no start issue. I managed to find out that it was wired wrong. It should have been wired for a key start but did not have a relay and had the wrong voltage regulator. I ended up wiring it as a pedal start using the carryall 2 schematic and got it running.
My question is, when should the starter/generator start spinning? I turn on the key and when i put it in f/r it starts spinning and stops when i push the throttle. By "pumping" the pedal it will eventually start but this just does not seem right to me. once its warmed up it runs great. |

Re: pedal start question
On a normal pedal start, the s/g starts spinning only when you push on the gas. Key on and shifting it into gear shouldn't be starting it.

Re: pedal start question
That's what I thought. I'll double check my schematics and see where I crossed my wires. It was a late night of wiring. Lol.
Thanks for the help. |
